SSL works by providing a private key to encrypt sensitive data that is transferred over the SSL connection.

The card:

Each card is manufactured using a recyclable material under a strict quality controlled and secure supervision. The production line is designed and automated to eliminate any security breaches and to minimise such breaches that are associated with multiple human handling. The card consists of three sets of numbers. They are the serial number (including the batch number), the card unique reference number and a pin number. The pin and unique reference numbers are generated by two different alogarithms with billions of combinations. The pin number is then hidden behind a completely blind scratch-off panel that is only accessible to the purchaser.

The delivery chain:

The delivery chain from card issue to upload of the user's account is managed by a state-of-the art delivery-chain management system that identifies all the critical events through the process. It ensures the card was issued and authorised along the chain to ensure the integrity of the card throughout the chain.
