THE IDEA
Globaldosh™ was conceived back in late
1998 by one of our directors and developed over about a year
and a half with Dip-Holer Management Co Ltd. The idea is based
on the then debate in the industry on how to migrate physical
cash into cyber space. Originally, Globaldosh was conceived
to be marketed as DISC (discrete internet shopping card) but
it has since evolved to what it is today.
The Globaldosh™ idea consist of the
creation of a pre-paid mechanism for converting cash into
a voucher which can be verified as genuine in cyber space.
The main difference and advantage of our system over other
systems is the uniqueness in presenting the buying power to
our customers in terms of shopping points refered to as GD
points which will be acceptable globally. The ability to use
the internet to its fullest capabilities (i.e no cross border
restrictions) is also our main strong point. Our members can
shop from Beijing to Dallas to Ankara. While our partners
can sell to people from Lagos to London to Mexico city.
The idea which emanated from Globaldosh™
has now been hijacked by some of our competitors and modified
into top-up plastic cards.
Although these variant of the scheme
are being developed by our competitors, we at Globaldosh™
believes that we own the UK's intellectual property rights
to the pre-paid top-up internet payment system. This remain
to be tested when our competitors launch their products.
We believe that we have a edge over
our competitors, as we taught our competitors all they know
but not all we know.
